JMDesign was established in 2006. In the intervening period Chris, Diarmuid and Mark have been involved in a wide variety of high profile projects while employed at Buro Happold in Dublin. In November 2008 they departed from Buro Happold with the ambition to grow JMDesign into a progressive, successful and competent engineering practice, catering for the needs of both the domestic and commercial sectors.

Our practice takes pride in the design of economic and robust structures that are consistent with the client’s requirements and expectations. Our holistic approach is based on close liaison with all members of the design and construction team to understand the particular needs of each project and to ensure that the structure is properly integrated within the overall scheme.

Establishing the correct balance between quality, cost, sustainability, innovation and programme for each scheme is an activity which genuinely informs every aspect of our work methods.
